Mental Health Training
Expert training for businesses and healthcare professionals
I lead on mental health for the Cambridge Medical Academy
based at the Cambridge University Biomedical Campus, where I am responsible for training a global network of over 800 doctors, nurses and administrators in mental health.
I work with a team of consultants and we provide bespoke training for private & public sector organisations on mental health & related subjects.
I have also been a mentor to a range of professionals including specialist Public Health Registrars and GP's, achieving excellent results.
I have worked in health and social care settings for over 15 years and have written and delivered training programmes for national healthcare providers, GPs, Medical consultants, and specialist organisations supporting marginalised people.

Public speaking
I am an experienced public speaker and have been a key guest speaker at a number of international conferences and NHS Trust training days. I have spoken on the following subjects:

University lecturing
I have been a guest lecturer for a number of leading Universities and NHS Foundation Trusts, including Winchester and Southampton Universities and East London NHS Foundation Trust. I am currently responsible for teaching the Phd and MSc Psychology students in Cultural Adaptations to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Trauma and Migration at
Southampton University.
I have written and delivered teaching days to students on the following subjects:
- Developing patient led care in mental health services
- Redesigning mental health services for refugee and asylum seeking people
- Cultural adaptations to CBT
- Establishing diaspora initiatives within the NHS
- Addressing the needs of young people involved with gangs and violent crime
